Baptism In Jesus' Name

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is an article by an unknown author that I wanted to share.

BAPTISM in JESUS NAME - the verses containing every tense of the word baptize are listed below.

Four-hundred years of silence was broken when Gabriel announced the birth of John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus Christ. Six months after John the Baptist was born Jesus would be born. The entire Old Testament foretold of Jesus Christ the Savoir of the World. The Lamb slain from the foundation of the World would soon die on the cross for all of humanity.

The Last Words of Jesus - post resurrection- as recorded in the Book of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and Acts.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name "OF" the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mark 16:16 He that believeth AND IS baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Between Mark 16:19 and 16:20 The Day of Pentecost took place!

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and REMISSION of sins should be preached in HIS NAME among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Notice in verse 37 that EVERY APOSTLE WAS ASKED WHAT SHALL WE DO? BUT only Peter lifted up his voice.

Act 2:37-38 Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the REST of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST for the REMISSION (JESUS said in Luke 24:47 that repentance and remission of sins would be preached in His NAME) of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Act 10:46-48 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the NAME OF THE LORD Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the KEYS of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Please note that it was Peter that first preached salvation to the Jews in Acts chapter 2 and It was Peter who preached it first to the Gentiles in Acts Chapter 10. He was given the KEYS to the kingdom of Heaven. Countless Others would preach the same message but he was the first.

Act 19:3-5 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard [this], they were baptized in THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS.

Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] ALL in the NAME of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

In Acts 18 Apostle Paul Says Apollos only knew the baptism of John. In Acts 19 having met disciples of John.  Paul "re-baptized" them in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said "He that Believeth and is baptized shall be saved"

Acts 8:12 When they believed they were baptized

Acts 18:8 When they believed they were baptized

Acts 16:14 When Lydia attended to the things spoken by Paul she and her household were baptized

Paul said I am willing to die for the NAME of Jesus
Act 21:13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

We are washed, sanctified, justified by the NAME
1Co 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

The Name of the Father is Jesus. Jesus said I come in my father's name. He said he was given his name by inheritance.

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost baptism is a powerless tradition. Casting out devils must be done in the name of Jesus Christ. You cannot cast out devils in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost nor can you wash away sins by those titles. Remission of sins only takes place by the Name of Jesus Christ.

Act 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Baptism In The Name Of Jesus

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is an article from an unknown author that I wanted to share.

Google commons

To all ministers, saints, Christian’s, and aspiring Christian’s of all religions and denominations. There are many reasons the Apostolic church baptizes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We have all learned the Word of God through the discipline of study and revelation by God. No one living today or in any generation to come will add to the Word of God. It is written, and it is complete, and it is more than sufficient to save us and the world.

The 63 books of the Bible contain recorded history of people and events. Some writers recorded events passed down by written records and even oral tradition.

Every New Testament book, from Romans' to Revelation was inspired writing from a reed pen or quill pen onto papyrus or parchment. These were all letters inspired by God and written by man.

However, the book of Acts is unlike those letters written to individuals or churches. Paul wrote the book of Romans as he was inspired by the Holy Ghost. Luke when writing the book of Acts didn’t write down what he thought. He wrote down what he saw and heard.

Google commons

When Peter spoke up on the day of Pentecost, after those present ask all of the Apostles what they should do. Peter lifted up his voice.

Please understand he didn’t have a bible to consult. He didn’t ask those present to turn to Acts and read along. He spoke as the Holy Ghost moved on Him, a short seven days after Jesus ascended.

He said “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts‬ ‭2:38‬

He didn’t read the book of Romans to come to that conclusion. He didn’t read the book of Matthew or any Old Testament book. He preached the message of Pentecost after the Holy Ghost fell.

He spoke as he was inspired by God to speak. Romans wouldn’t be written for another 30 years. Nothing written later would contradict what Peter preached, it only affirms what he preached.

Peter preached and Luke recorded what he preached. Nothing that would be written later had the authority to contradict anything Peter preached. And nothing did. What would be written later only affirmed and confirmed Peter’s message.

Google commons

Peter couldn’t have confused anything written in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Romans or more because these books were not yet written.

Peter preached that day as the Holy Ghost inspired him to. Every Word written after that could only confirm those words preached by Peter, and confirm they do.

When you baptize someone in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, you are repeating what Jesus said instead of obeying what He said.

When you baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ you can fulfill Matthew 28:19. If you baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost you leave Acts 2:38 unfulfilled.

Peter didn’t know anything about do all in the name of the Lord Jesus because Colossians would not be written until 60 AD or later.

In short, nothing written in the New Testament contradicts what Peter preached on the day of Pentecost.

We are Heritics?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I found this recently.  The battle between Monotheism and the Trinity continues!

Been looking at several Heretic hunter’s videos that target Oneness Pentecostalism. I find it interesting that we are heretics teaching absolute Monotheism as taught by Moses in the OT revealed as Jesus in the NT.  Our main heresy is we deny the doctrine of the Trinity which is ‘Orthodox?’

Matters not the word Trinity isn’t found in scriptures.
Matters not the term Triune Godhead isn’t found in scripture.
Matters not the Jews of the OT did not believe God was plural beings.
Matters not the term ‘Persons’ is never applied to God in scripture.
Matters not the Shema Deut. 6:4 declares God is one.
Matters not Jesus proclaimed that was the greatest commandment.
Matters not the phrase God the Son is no where in the Bible.
Matters not we can’t find the term Eternal Son in scripture.
Honestly we can’t find where Jesus is a member of the Godhead?
But rather the Godhead dwells in Him?
Yet we are heretical?

The second heretical teaching is that baptism must be done in Jesus Name?
Matters not Matthew wasn’t written until about 30 years after the birth of the church in Acts.
Matters not Matthew stood with Peter on the day of Pentecost.
Matters not Peter's message was called the Apostles’ doctrine including Matthew.
Matters not the Apostles who heard what was said in Mt. 28;19 understood it combined with Luke 24;47 and Mk. 16;16-17. Thus they knew the NAME and baptized in that NAME.
Matters not Peter was given the keys of the kingdom by Jesus.
Matters not Peter in Acts 2 had received the Spirit of truth that would bring to remembrance what Jesus had said.
Matters not every NT convert was baptized in Jesus name.
Matters not every reference to baptism in the Epistles refer to being baptized into Christ NOTHING mentioned about the Trinity?
All historical records vindicate the church of the 1st century baptized in Jesus name.
But we are heretics?

Baptism In The Name Of Jesus

Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!

Here is a little message about Baptism in Jesus' Name, by John Ochoa.

Baptism in the Name of Jesus

Acts 2:38 KJV-- Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:12 KJV-- But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 10:48 KJV-- And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 19:2-5 KJV-- 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Romans 6:3-4 KJV-- 3  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Colossians 2:11-12 KJV--11  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Galatians 3:27 KJV-- For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Matthew 28:19 KJV-- Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Notice how name is singular. Because there was 1 name we had to baptize under.
That Father has a name. That son has a name and that Holy Ghost has a name and it is Jesus. Matthew 28:19 was the commandment given to the apostles and it was fulfilled in Acts 2:38. The bible doesn't contradict itself. You can't pick and choose a verse. No one was baptized in Matthew 28:19 but that instruction Jesus gave to the apostles was fulfilled in Acts 2:38.

John 14:8-9 KJV-- 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Acts 4:12 KJV--- Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Ephesians 4:5 KJV-- One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Act 22:16 KJV-- And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Water Baptism

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Water Baptism

“And he said to them, go to all the world, and preach my gospel to the whole creation.  He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; and he who does not believe shall be condemned.”  (Peshitta Mark 16:15-16)
These are the words of Jesus Christ Himself as He was speaking to His disciples just before His ascent into the Heavens.  This is the final instructions to His disciples on what they were to do when He left them.  Jesus Christ made it very clear that they were to baptize all of the world!  In fact, I think that Jesus Christ made it very clear here in verse sixteen, that He equated baptism with salvation.
It seems the Apostle Peter had also understood baptism as an essential part of salvation when he preached on the Day of Pentecost.  In the Book of Acts, the Apostle Luke recorded Peter’s sermon to the crown of devout Jews the need for water baptism in the name of the LORD Jesus!
The Apostle Peter understood that water baptism was a requirement for salvation.  The rest of the apostle’s present did not correct Peter, so they also understood the same thing.  If Jesus commanded water baptism and the Apostle Peter preached it, who are we to say that we do not need it for today?
Later, the Apostle Philip, also water baptized people in Samaria!  “But when they believed Philip, preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ, they were baptized (water), both men and women.  (Peshitta Acts 8:12).
Philip would later also baptize an Ethiopian God-fearer out in the desert.  “And he commanded the chariot be stopped: and both went down into the water, and Philip baptized the eunuch.”  (Peshitta Acts 8: 38).
When Saul, the accuser of the brethren, traveled to Damascus to arrest the Christians there.  Jesus intervened and converted Saul in a miraculous way!  When Saul (Paul) agreed to salvation, he was baptized in water!  “And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.”  (Peshitta Acts 9: 18).
When the Apostle Peter traveled to Caesarea to preach to Cornelius and his family and friends, he baptized them all in water.  After the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they were all baptized in water!  “Then Simon Peter said to them, can any man forbid water, that these people who have received the Holy Spirit, just as we have, should not be baptized?”  (Peshitta Acts 10:47).
When the Apostle Paul was preaching to some disciples of John the Baptist, he felt that it was necessary to rebaptize them in water and they had received Spirit baptism.  “When they heard these things, they were baptized in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ.”  (Peshitta Acts 19:5).
The Word of the Lord is very clear by the mouth of Jesus Christ and the actions of all of His apostles that we should all be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ, so that our sins may be washed away!

Holy Spirit Baptism

They Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) moving on people has been around for thousands of years.  We also see it in a limited way throughout the Old Testament.  But the Full Mention of the Holy Ghost in the Bible is found in the first two chapters of the Book of Acts.  That is the contextual epicenter of the subject and al other references must be filtered through those two chapters.
But first, Jesus Christ Himself declared to the disciples that power would be come to them soon.  “And I will send upon you the promise of my Father; but you remain in the city of Jerusalem, until you are clothed with power from on high. (Peshitta Luke 24: 49).
In the first chapter of the Book of Acts, the first apostles of the new church were fill with the Holy Ghost.  “And when the day of Pentecost was fulfilled, while they were assembled together, suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues which were divided like flames of fire; and they rested upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in various languages, according to whatever the Spirit gave them to speak. (Peshitta Acts 1:1-4).
In the second chapter, we find the Plan of Salvation.  “When they heard these things, their hearts were touched and they said to Simon (Peter) and the rest of the apostles, our brethren, what shall we do?  Then Simon said to them, repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of the LORD Jesus for the remission of sins, so that you may receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  For the promise was made to you and to your children, and for all of those who are far off, even as many as the very God shall call.”  (Peshitta Acts 2:37-39).
Later when the Apostle Philip preached to the Samaritans, they believed and were baptized in water, but none of them had received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.  Peter and John then went down unto them and then they received the Holy Ghost.  “Who, when they went down, prayed over them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.  For as yet it had not come upon them although they had been baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus.  Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. (Peshitta Acts 8: 15-17).
These verses show us a distinction between the baptisms of water and the Spirit.  A further distinction would be shown by the Apostle Paul when he encountered twelve men whom had been baptized in water years ago, but not of the Spirit.  “When they heard these things, they were baptized in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ.  And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke in divers’ tongues, and prophesied.”  (Peshitta Acts 19:5-6).
As I have just shown, if we want to be right with God and receive salvation, after repentance, we must receive both water and Spirit baptism.  The two are completely separate and yet both are completely necessary for our salvation from our sins!
