The Gift of Other Tongues

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is a short example of the spiritual gift of other tongues.

THE GIFT OF OTHER TONGUES

One day I stood at the railway station in Logansport, Indiana, waiting for my train and observing a group of Italian men, apparently laborers, sitting on a bench. They were going somewhere to work.  As I walked up and down the platform, I said, "Oh, God, how much I would like to be able to talk to these men about the living Christ and His power to save! "

The Spirit said, "You can."

I stepped over to them; and as I preached, I observed myself beginning to speak in some foreign language!  I addressed one of the group, and he instantly answered me in Italian. I asked where he was from, and he replied, "Naples."

For fifteen minutes God let me tell the truths of Christ and the power of God to that group of laborers in Italian, a language of which I had no knowledge.  That was a little flash, a gleam but one day, bless God, there will come from Heaven a shower that will so anoint the souls of men that they will speak in every language man speaks by the power of God.  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come Matthew 24 14.

Baptism In The Name Of Jesus

Hello everyone. Praise the Lord!

Here is a little message about Baptism in Jesus' Name, by John Ochoa.

Baptism in the Name of Jesus

Acts 2:38 KJV-- Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:12 KJV-- But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 10:48 KJV-- And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 19:2-5 KJV-- 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Romans 6:3-4 KJV-- 3  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Colossians 2:11-12 KJV--11  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Galatians 3:27 KJV-- For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Matthew 28:19 KJV-- Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Notice how name is singular. Because there was 1 name we had to baptize under.
That Father has a name. That son has a name and that Holy Ghost has a name and it is Jesus. Matthew 28:19 was the commandment given to the apostles and it was fulfilled in Acts 2:38. The bible doesn't contradict itself. You can't pick and choose a verse. No one was baptized in Matthew 28:19 but that instruction Jesus gave to the apostles was fulfilled in Acts 2:38.

John 14:8-9 KJV-- 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Acts 4:12 KJV--- Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Ephesians 4:5 KJV-- One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Act 22:16 KJV-- And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Messages From God

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

This was a message from God spoken in tongues, as recorded by William J. Seymour in his book called,  "The Azusa Street Papers," published in 1906.

A message that was given in tongues for God's people was this, "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God." He is now about to move on the world in a mighty wave of Pentecostal power and salvation.  A sister had a vision of God's people as vessels that were full, And the Lord said, "The vessels must be emptied and I will fill them."

A returned missionary from the interior of Africa was present in the meeting, when a sister testified in an African tongue which the brother interpreted to be, "The Lord Is my husband."
