Three Types Of Tongues

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is an article by an unknown author that I wanted to share.

THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES, BUT THERE ARE DIFFERENCES IN THESE.

1). Tongues as a sign to unbelievers (no interpreter)
1 Corinthians 14:22, Acts 2:1-18- Language is unknown to the speaker but known to the hearer.
This is where a person hearing a tongue from someone in his own language, understands it, but the speaker doesn't understand and doesn’t speak this language at all.
Every Christian can experience this through receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and as the Holy Spirit wills through you.

2). Tongues for personal prayer language (private use)
1 Corinthians 14:2, 14:4, 14:23 - Language is unknown to the speaker and unknown to the hearer, but the speaker can pray for private interpretation (see 1 Corinthians 14:13-15) It edifies and strengthens the speaker without interpretation. Also with private interpretation this gift also edifies one's understanding.

There are tongues for deep intercessional groaning that words cannot express Romans 8:26.
The language is unknown to the speaker and unknown to the hearer. When this type of tongues comes upon a person it comes with tremendous power to bring breakthrough or spiritual birthing of things. Galatians 4:19 This is the same as private prayer language but a deeper part of the personal prayer language but with an anointing.

Another type are war tongues anointed by the Holy Spirit to pray intensely and break demonic strongholds and attacks. 1 Corinthians 12:10.

Blessing your food 1 Corinthians 14:16. Singing in tongues (singing in the Spirit), but this is private prayer language but can be interpreted (see 1 Corinthians 14:15)

Every Christian can have a personal prayer language (speak in tongues) through receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Mark 16:17-18, Acts 2:38.

3). Gift of different kinds of Tongues, Ministerial Tongues (with interpretation, public use)
1 Corinthians 12:10, 1 Corinthians 14:5- Language is unknown to the speaker and unknown to the hearer, but interpretation is given to the speaker or another standing by so that all that hear can understand and are edified. The speaker is able to speak different kinds of tongues as the Holy Spirit wills and gives the utterance. Also, it is a ministry gift and interpretation. The gift of different kinds of tongues can also be used privately and for intercession as the Holy Spirit wills to give the utterance. Not every Christian can have this gift of different kinds of tongues but can earnestly desire and ask God for it (1 Corinthians 12:31). Edited. Shared.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues is still for today.
Mark 16:17-18 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; (18) they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

1 Corinthians 13:7-12
7) bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8.) Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9) For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10) But when that which is perfect (Jesus) has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11) When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12) For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

Which is the part that will be done away?
Verse 8-9 prophecies, tongues, knowledge, we know in part and prophesy in part.
When will it be done away?
Verse 10 But when that which is perfect (Jesus) has come, then that which is in part will be done away. Has Jesus come back yet? No. Verse 12 we are not looking at Jesus face to face yet. So prophecies, tongues, knowledge, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not done away with yet.
Verse 12 When we will “know as we are known” then we will not need those things.
Verse 8 Do we know anything today? Yes, we have knowledge today, so knowledge hasn’t ceased yet either.

Acts 2:3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

1 Corinthians 14:39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:30  Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
Only Christians can have these gifts as the Holy Spirit wills and non Christians can not.
Not every Christian can have all of the gifts of the Spirit in their life but as the Holy Spirit wills.

1 Corinthians 14:5 I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied.
(Paul desires all Christians to speak in tongues and can ask God for it).

1 Corinthians 14:18 I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.

Jude 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,(Build up your self by praying in tongues).

1 Corinthians 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.

1 Corinthians 14:4 He who speaks in a tongue (edifies himself), but he who prophesies edifies the church. (Ministering to oneself, to God, and to others by speaking in tongues).

1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

1 Corinthians 14:39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. (Do not forbid speaking with tongues).

1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

People do not understand the blessing they are missing and by rejecting what God earnestly wants us to have.
Many will not understand the deeper truths of the Bible without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many want more of God and His presence. They desire God speaking to them and showing them things. This all comes with the experience of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that God still provides today and desires it for you. If you will just meet the conditions in the Bible and believe what the Bible says about it and ask God for it (Luke 11:13) you can have this experience.
God's promises are to be received and asked for in prayer by faith. Believe you received your answer when you pray. Do not doubt, believe what the promises of God say (Mark 11:23-24).

Some think if God wants me to be able to speak in tongues or any gifts of the Holy Spirit, then He will give it to me if He wants me to have it.
So, if we can say something like this, then why not be consistent and wait for God to give you salvation if He wants you to be saved? So, if you can believe God’s word about salvation and you take that, why not be consistent and believe God for the rest of His word and promises? He promised “to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him for it” Luke 11:13, Acts 8:14-17, Acts 19:1-7, Luke 11:9-13, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:38-39, Mark 11:23-24, Acts 10:44-48, Mark 16:17-18. Study these scriptures. Do not base your belief on wrong teaching saying that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit have ceased. They have not ceased, they are still for today. Do not grieve and quench the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:19.

Do not stand on judgment day to answer why you opposed these promises God has given us.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;.

1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
I pray this blesses you.

Believing Produces Repentance

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Repent - Be baptized - Be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Here is something that I found from an unknown author that I wanted to share.

Google commons

Believing produces obedience:

Jesus said he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. We must conclude that believing produces obedience which leads to repentance in response to the Word of God. You must believe that you need to repent.

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? Rom‬ ‭10:16‬ ‭From this verse we see that believing produces obedience. If you believe, you’ll obey.

Google commons

Obedience leads to repentance and baptism:

Jesus said he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. Believing produces obedience which leads to repentance in response to the Word of God. John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, Apostles Peter and Paul all preached first to repent - believing comes first of course because the hearer had to believe before they could obey the need to repent.

Believing is powerful, setting in motion a chain of events that leads to salvation. Believing activates faith. Believing opens up revelation. When you believe, you’ll obey.

The only prerequisite it seems to be baptized is to believe with all of your heart. But that’s not just a believing heart, but a repentant heart. The eunuch asked If he could be baptized, Phillip responded, “if you believe with all of your heart you may.” Believe what? What Phillip just explained to him. He preached unto him Jesus. When you preach Jesus, you preach repentance, you preach baptism, and you preach being filled with the Holy Ghost. Faith without works is dead.

We are begotten by the Word and repentance is the first response after believing. Repentance is powerful, but not complete without being baptized, yet powerful enough to prepare one to receive the Holy Ghost.

Part of the response to the gospel is this: Jesus now commands all men everywhere to repent. I believe when men believe and obey that command, which is inextricably linked with baptism, revelation and real change takes place.

Repentance is a commandment to be obeyed as well as a response to the Gospel. Conversion is repentance and baptism. While one can receive the Holy Ghost before baptism, but not the Holy Ghost before repentance, baptism is the NT circumcision which completes the conversion that began with repentance.

Repentance begins the process that isn’t completed until one is baptized - putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by being buried with Jesus Christ in baptism - yet one can receive the Holy Ghost before this takes place - which to me is a beautiful picture of grace - it doesn’t mean someone is sinning while being filled with the Holy Ghost - but while those past sins are still present and not yet washed away - you can be filled with the Holy Ghost.

If you haven’t repented, you’re not ready for baptism. To repent is to want to be baptized. It’s why Paul asked the believers how were you baptized. Catch this: Paul knew that believers would be baptized. He just didn’t know how they were baptized. Believing and baptism goes together like peanut butter and jelly.

To repent is to make a conscience choice to turn around from the direction one is headed. To repent is to change one’s mind for the better, to heartily amend with abhorrence of one's past sins.

When you repent, you are biblically ready to receive the Holy Ghost, but you must be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Gospel is good news:

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: after that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15 -  This is the gospel.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:

God gives the Holy Ghost to them that obey Him:

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. Acts‬ ‭5:32‬ ‭

This prophecy by Joel as told by Peter would be fulfilled starting in Acts 2:4 - before Peter started preaching

Jesus was crucified, buried and rose again. That’s the good news. That’s the gospel. Not only did He rise again, but he was seen of many witnesses, 1, 12, and over 500 at one time.

Acts 2:23-24 - Jesus was crucified and rose again just as it says in 1 Corinthians 15. And that’s good news. That’s the Gospel. You obey it by believing, and you believe it by obeying.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts‬ ‭2:38‬. ‭

Baptism In The Name Of Jesus

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is an article from an unknown author that I wanted to share.

Google commons

To all ministers, saints, Christian’s, and aspiring Christian’s of all religions and denominations. There are many reasons the Apostolic church baptizes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We have all learned the Word of God through the discipline of study and revelation by God. No one living today or in any generation to come will add to the Word of God. It is written, and it is complete, and it is more than sufficient to save us and the world.

The 63 books of the Bible contain recorded history of people and events. Some writers recorded events passed down by written records and even oral tradition.

Every New Testament book, from Romans' to Revelation was inspired writing from a reed pen or quill pen onto papyrus or parchment. These were all letters inspired by God and written by man.

However, the book of Acts is unlike those letters written to individuals or churches. Paul wrote the book of Romans as he was inspired by the Holy Ghost. Luke when writing the book of Acts didn’t write down what he thought. He wrote down what he saw and heard.

Google commons

When Peter spoke up on the day of Pentecost, after those present ask all of the Apostles what they should do. Peter lifted up his voice.

Please understand he didn’t have a bible to consult. He didn’t ask those present to turn to Acts and read along. He spoke as the Holy Ghost moved on Him, a short seven days after Jesus ascended.

He said “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts‬ ‭2:38‬

He didn’t read the book of Romans to come to that conclusion. He didn’t read the book of Matthew or any Old Testament book. He preached the message of Pentecost after the Holy Ghost fell.

He spoke as he was inspired by God to speak. Romans wouldn’t be written for another 30 years. Nothing written later would contradict what Peter preached, it only affirms what he preached.

Peter preached and Luke recorded what he preached. Nothing that would be written later had the authority to contradict anything Peter preached. And nothing did. What would be written later only affirmed and confirmed Peter’s message.

Google commons

Peter couldn’t have confused anything written in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Romans or more because these books were not yet written.

Peter preached that day as the Holy Ghost inspired him to. Every Word written after that could only confirm those words preached by Peter, and confirm they do.

When you baptize someone in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, you are repeating what Jesus said instead of obeying what He said.

When you baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ you can fulfill Matthew 28:19. If you baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost you leave Acts 2:38 unfulfilled.

Peter didn’t know anything about do all in the name of the Lord Jesus because Colossians would not be written until 60 AD or later.

In short, nothing written in the New Testament contradicts what Peter preached on the day of Pentecost.

In Hell

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is the reality of those in hell, blessings.

IN HELL....
- Prayerless people pray everyday.
- Unrepentant people repent everyday.
- Rich people cannot afford any water.
- Proud and stubborn people humble themselves everyday.
- Jokers become very serious.
- Those who reject the word of God become the earnest seekers of the word.
- Those who don't like to fast do it everyday. They fast everyday in hell.
- Those who wear worldly and sophisticated clothes are totally naked everyday.
- Master and servant, Mistress and maidservant, Rich and poor, Old and young, Educated and illiterate, become equal.
- Those who refuse to obey God while on earth have no choice than to obey demons in hell.
- Those who are enemies on earth are neighbours in hell.

Don't wait until you get to hell before you do the right thing. Do it now while you are still on earth.

Roman's 10:9; If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Pray this way:Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sinful lifestyle. I believe in you. I believe you are the Son of God. The very God who manifest himself in the flesh. I believe that in your human nature you died for me. Wash me with your blood and make me a new creature in you. Thank you, Lord. Give me the gift of the Holy Spirit and grace to live a holy and righteous life till you come. In Jesus name. Amen.

Now, find a church that baptizes believers in the Name of Jesus Christ, the name given among men whereby we must be save (Acts 4:12).

There is no air in hell, because God is the breath of Life.
There is no peace in hell, because God is the Prince of Peace.
There is no comfort in hell, because God is the comforter.
There is no love in hell, because God is Love.
Hell is darkness, because God in the Light.

JESUS CHRIST IS COMING SOONER THAN YOU THINK!

Soteriology

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is a subject often taught in Bible colleges around the world.  Since most people cannot go to Bible college, I am sharing this teaching to everyone.

What Is Soteriology, and Why Should Every Christian Know This Term?
“Soteriology” isn’t the kind of word you see in a sermon title. It’s definitely not a word directly from Bible. But without the concepts this term describes, the Bible would be a far shorter book—and a far sadder story.

What Is the meaning of Soteriology? Soteriology is the doctrine of salvation. In short, it describes why we need saving, who saves us, how he saves us, and the purpose we’ve been saved for.

Topics such as redemption, propitiation, justification, and sanctification all fall under the umbrella of soteriology. Many heresies, such as the debate about the Trinity is soteriological.

That all sounds important, but it also sounds like a dictionary of theology definitions. Would the average Christian really benefit from studying soteriology? After all, everything comes down to Acts 2:38.  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NIV). Some would say that this is the plan of salvation. The real plan of Salvation is actually found in Acts 2:38, so yes we do need to learn about Soteriology!

If we know Christ, and we know about his sacrifice, do we really need to know why it works?

What Is the Difference between Christology and Soteriology?
Soteriology is about salvation. Christology is about the Savior. Each subject informs the other—but there is a reason they each have their own field of study.

Acts 2:38 is a powerful summary of Christ’s work on the cross, and it gets to the heart of God’s plan for salvation: the Savior. But what did the Savior save us from? Why couldn’t we save ourselves? What are we being saved for?

Salvation is the story of how God restored us to a right relationship with him. And that story isn’t limited to Acts 2:38, or even the New Testament—it fills the Bible cover to cover.

What Does the Bible Say about Soteriology?
Soteriology’s premise is that humanity needs salvation from sin. If we don’t understand what we’ve lost through sin, how can we understand what we gain through salvation?

Genesis 1-2 describes God’s perfect creation and humanity’s perfect relationship with God, creation, and each other. But in Genesis 3, humanity broke each of those relationships with sin. Instead of trusting God, we hid from him (Genesis 3:8). Our relationships with each other devolved into selfishness and conflict (Genesis 3:12, 16). Even creation itself groaned from the burdens of sin, suffering, and death our actions caused (Genesis 3:17-19, Romans 8:19-22). The rest of Scripture describes humanity’s attempts to restore these relationships—and God’s grand plan for a solution.

In the Old Testament, that solution appears to be the nation of Israel. Humanity had a terrible track record (Genesis 4-11), but there was still hope. After all, individual humans such as Abel, Enoch, Job, and Noah had lived righteous lives. Perhaps a select group of people could learn to follow God and set an example for the world. Perhaps someday, the world could be saved through them (Genesis 12:1-3).

In Exodus and Leviticus, God gave Israel detailed instructions on how to avoid sin and pursue righteousness—and even how to atone for sin through animal sacrifice. For centuries, God guided Israel through this Law and through sending leaders and prophets to hold them accountable. But time and again, Israel failed.

YHWH warned Israel and Judah through all his prophets and seers: “Turn from your evil ways. Observe my commands and decrees, in accordance with the entire Law that I commanded your ancestors to obey and that I delivered to you through my servants the prophets.”  But they would not listen and were as stiff-necked as their ancestors, who did not trust in YHWH their God. They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors and the statutes he had warned them to keep. They followed worthless idols and themselves became worthless. They imitated the nations around them although YHWH had ordered them, “Do not do as they do”  (2 Kings 17:13-15, NIV).

“Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live! (Ezekiel 18:30-32, NIV),

I sent my prophets to cut you to pieces—to slaughter you with my words, with judgments as inescapable as light. I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices.  I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings. But like Adam, you broke my covenant and betrayed my trust (Hosea 6:5-7, NLT).

Even with clear instructions on how to live holy lives and a clear system to atone for sin, God’s chosen people followed Adam’s sinful footsteps. God pleaded with them and shouted at them through the prophets. He punished them (drought, plague, exile, etc.) to lead them to repentance. But even with prophets’ guidance, a beautiful temple, and sacrifice after sacrifice, something still wasn’t working.

Had God’s plan of salvation failed?

The truth was the Old Testament sacrificial system was never meant to be the solution. Instead, it was meant to prepare the way for something better. The sacrificial system reminded humanity of the gravity of sin. It helped humanity understand the need for propitiation, a payment for sin.

For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins? But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins (Hebrews 10:1-4, ESV).

After hundreds of years of trying and failing to overcome sin through human struggle and imperfect animal sacrifice, humanity was shown how much they needed God’s help. And in their desperation, God pointed to the solution he’d planned all along—the Messiah.

Surely He took on our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken by God, struck down and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and YHWH has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth (Isaiah 53:4-7).

Jesus came as a perfect sacrifice—the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29)! And it’s because of the Old Testament that we can understand what “Lamb of God” means and why a lamb was necessary. We needed someone who could carry “the punishment that brought us peace.”

Adam and Eve failed. The people before the flood failed. Israel failed. Their sacrifices failed. But by showing us time and again that humanity couldn’t overcome sin on our own, God prepared us to accept salvation as his free gift.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23, ESV).

That’s a glorious, life-changing truth! But soteriology doesn’t stop with the moment of salvation. After all, the Bible doesn’t stop with Resurrection Sunday. There’s still an important question soteriology seeks to answer: what have we been saved for?

Why Is the Doctrine of Salvation so Crucial to Christianity? The purpose of soteriology is to help us understand just how much God has done for us. And perhaps the most forgotten part about salvation is that God’s work in us doesn’t end at the cross.

Our guilt ends at the cross. Our sin’s condemnation ends at the cross. Our separation from God ends at the cross. But our journey with God has only begun.

After freeing us from sin’s punishment, God begins to free us from sin’s control. The Holy Spirit becomes our guide, leading us in the process of sanctification: becoming more like Christ. This is what we have been saved for. To live joyful lives of freedom, pursuing righteousness not out of fear, but out of a love for God and others (Mark 12:30-31; Galatians 5:13).

This is what God meant when his prophets said lavish sacrifice paled in comparison to love, justice, and humility (Hosea 6:6, Micah 6:6-8). God isn’t content to simply free us from punishment through sacrifice. He wants us free from sin itself. He wants to give us a new life full of love and purpose.

That’s why soteriology is so important. If we start and stop with Acts 2:38, we miss the beauty and purpose of God’s greater plan—or worse, we fail to live it to its fullest.

Not every Christian needs to have a firm stance on the Oneness of God. Not every Christian needs to know the official names of every heresy. But every Christian should know why we need saving, who saves us, how he saves us, and the purpose we’ve been saved for  .I found this article on the internet and thought I should share it. It was originally written by Tim Pietz, but I had to heavily edit it, to clean up the false doctrine, and poorly selected Scripture verses.
