Bummer Lambs

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is something that I came across that I wanted to share with you.

Every once in a while, a ewe will give birth to a lamb and reject it. If the lamb is returned to the ewe, the mother may even kick the poor animal away. Once a ewe rejects one of her lambs, she will never change her mind.

These little lambs will hang their heads so low that it looks like something is wrong with its neck. Their spirit is broken. These lambs are called “bummer lambs.” Bummer lambs will steal your heart, and despite our best efforts, they don't always make it.  When an ewe ignores or rejects a lamb, she may do so because it has a problem that will prevent it from thriving.

Unless the shepherd intervenes, that lamb will die, rejected and alone. So, do you know what the shepherd does? He takes that rejected little one into his home, hand-feeds it and keep it warm by the fire. He will wrap it up with blankets and hold it to his chest so the bummer can hear his heartbeat.  This takes a lot of time from the busy shephard, but the shepherd loves his sheep.

Once the lamb is strong enough, the shepherd will place it back in the field with the rest of the flock. But that sheep never forgets how the shepherd cared for him when his mother rejected him.

When the shepherd calls for the flock, guess who runs to him first? That is right, the bummer sheep. He knows his voice intimately. It is not that the bummer lamb is loved more, it just knows intimately the one who loves it.

So many of us are bummer lambs, rejected and broken. But He is the good Shepherd. He cares for our every need and holds us close to His heart so we can hear His heart beat. We may be broken but we are deeply loved by the Shepherd.

From one bummer sheep to another… I love you!

We are Heritics?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I found this recently.  The battle between Monotheism and the Trinity continues!

Been looking at several Heretic hunter’s videos that target Oneness Pentecostalism. I find it interesting that we are heretics teaching absolute Monotheism as taught by Moses in the OT revealed as Jesus in the NT.  Our main heresy is we deny the doctrine of the Trinity which is ‘Orthodox?’

Matters not the word Trinity isn’t found in scriptures.
Matters not the term Triune Godhead isn’t found in scripture.
Matters not the Jews of the OT did not believe God was plural beings.
Matters not the term ‘Persons’ is never applied to God in scripture.
Matters not the Shema Deut. 6:4 declares God is one.
Matters not Jesus proclaimed that was the greatest commandment.
Matters not the phrase God the Son is no where in the Bible.
Matters not we can’t find the term Eternal Son in scripture.
Honestly we can’t find where Jesus is a member of the Godhead?
But rather the Godhead dwells in Him?
Yet we are heretical?

The second heretical teaching is that baptism must be done in Jesus Name?
Matters not Matthew wasn’t written until about 30 years after the birth of the church in Acts.
Matters not Matthew stood with Peter on the day of Pentecost.
Matters not Peter's message was called the Apostles’ doctrine including Matthew.
Matters not the Apostles who heard what was said in Mt. 28;19 understood it combined with Luke 24;47 and Mk. 16;16-17. Thus they knew the NAME and baptized in that NAME.
Matters not Peter was given the keys of the kingdom by Jesus.
Matters not Peter in Acts 2 had received the Spirit of truth that would bring to remembrance what Jesus had said.
Matters not every NT convert was baptized in Jesus name.
Matters not every reference to baptism in the Epistles refer to being baptized into Christ NOTHING mentioned about the Trinity?
All historical records vindicate the church of the 1st century baptized in Jesus name.
But we are heretics?

Spiritual Biscuits

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is an old story that I have rediscovered to share with you.

A pastor asked an older farmer, decked out in bib overalls, to say grace for the morning breakfast.  "Lord, I hate buttermilk", the farmer began. The visiting pastor opened one eye to glance at the farmer and wonder where this was going.

The farmer loudly proclaimed, "Lord, I hate lard." Now the pastor was growing concerned.
Without missing a beat, the farmer continued, "And Lord, you know I don't much care for raw white flour". The pastor once again opened an eye to glance around the room and saw that he wasn't the only one to feel uncomfortable.

Then the farmer added, "But Lord, when you mix them all together and bake them, I do love warm fresh biscuits. So Lord, when things come up that we don't like, when life gets hard, when we don't understand what you're saying to us, help us to just relax and wait until you are done mixing. It will probably be even better than biscuits. Amen."

Within that prayer there is great wisdom for all when it comes to complicated situations like we are experiencing in the world today.  Stay strong, my friends, because our LORD is mixing several things that we don't really care for, but something even better is going to come when HE is done with it. AMEN!

That's My Entertainment!

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I was sitting with my uncle in his garage one summer in Wautoma, Wisconsin on a summer day.  He was sharing with me about his winter window entertainment.

He told his neighbor that he, and his kids could deer hunt on his farm all he wants. No charge at all. The only thing that he had to do was to leave the head, hide, legs and entrails on a certain spot. This certain spot was about 40 yards from his living room window. He explained that while the Wisconsin snows were blowing, he can view the entrails from his living room window.

He explained it like this: the crows find it first, as they are squawking and eating,  the hawks notice it. The hawks chase off the crows to have a turn to eat. The eagles then show up.  The eagles chase off the hawks to have their turn to eat.

After all of those birds are well feed, then the coyotes find it. The coyotes will eat what meat is left, plus the bones and hide. It's then all consumed.  While all of this is happening over many days, my uncle is watching it all from his living room window. He says that this is his winter entertainment!

Watch The Bubbles Boys!

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I was visiting my uncle on the old family farm in Central Wisconsin.  He was sharing with me about his old navy days the destroyer USS Wadleigh in 1954.  Those old destroyers were very small, and they could just disappear in the large ocean. He volunteered for destroyer service because they traveled the most around the world.

One day a large storm came upon them! One of the old salts said, "watch for the bubbles boys!"  The order went out to baton down all of the hatches!  As the little ship was thrown around the crew down below grew afraid!  When they rolled over at a 41° angle,  they were not sure if they capsize or not!

The captain of the ship got on the intercom and shouted for the crew to prepare to abandon ship!  The crew immediately got into their life vests. Again,  one of the old salts yelled, "watch the bubbles boys!"
At this point all of the crew were down below in their life vests. My young sailor uncle asked one of the old salts what "watch the bubbles" meant. The old salt explained like this.

If the ship would capsize and flood with sea water, you follow the bubbles!  Bubbles will always flow upwards, towards the surface.  He said to watch the bubbles and swim in that direction!  Every compartment on the ship always had two hatches. One could be opened and closed at will, this is the main hatch. The second hatch is the safety hatch. That hatch would always remain closed, but always unlocked. It is the way of escape!

The ship rode out the storm and eventually came out of it. That day they didn't need to follow the bubbles! As Christians,  our way of escape is to follow the Bible. The bubbles of God's Word will lead us to safety in our time of distress!
