Can The Blood of Jesus Do It?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is a testimony from Tim O'Better.

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.

It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.

The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement wast his: "My fiance's past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin."

"Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?" The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble. What can wash away my sins?...

Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Why Did Jesus Turn Water Into Wine?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is something that I found that I wanted to share.

Google commons

1. The First of the 10 plagues was water turned into blood.  The first of Jesus's miracles was water turned into wine
2. Wine symbolizes the blood of Jesus Christ shed for our atonement.
3. The obedience of the servants represents the obedience that Christ demands of His followers.
4. The filling the waterpots to the brim represents how every believer is to be filled with the Spirit so that the wine of His Blood can be proclaimed to the world through us.
5. Saving the best for last represents how the New Covenant is better than the Old Covenant
6. Christ and his disciples being invited to the wedding foreshadows the marriage supper of the Lamb
7. The master of the wedding feast acknowledging that Christ's wine was the best wine foreshadowed how the Heavenly Father would accept Christ's atoning sacrifice.

A Pocket Full Of Suckers

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

I was up in Wisconsin this summer, visiting my Aunt and Uncle, Jerry and Nancy Mankowski. I still live on the old dairy farm, in the central part of the state.

Jerry was telling me that he felt very very sluggish for a long period of time. Then you can barely move around. So he went to the doctor to see what the problem was. At the VA clinic they gave him a lot of different tests.

The VA clinic gave him a complete physical and running a bunch of tests including blood test. They discovered that the problem was low blood sugar. Is blood sugar wasn't low all the time and it would just spite down at certain times of the day.

Dr showed him all the test results and charts. They didn't think he needed medication. The doctor told just to keep them suckers in his pockets!  They just told him when he feels a little sluggish to suck on a sucker to add a little sugar to his blood.

That's a nice homegrown remedy for an occasional medical ailment. If your blood needs a little sugar, A nice sucker should do the trick!  Don't need expensive medications, from multi-million dollar pharmaceutical companies. You just need to sucker now and then. But don't we all!

The Spirit Follows The Blood

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

This is a story written by William J. Seymour in his book called,  "The Azusa Street Papers," written in 1906.

Jesus said, "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.". The cleansing took place before the Pentecostal baptism.  Jesus said on that night before he was betrayed, "Now are you clean, but not all.". (He knew that Judas had the devil in him).  But the cycles have been sanctified before Pentecost, For the word of God is true. We know they have been justified a long time before, where he said, "Rejoice not that the devils are subject unto you but rejoice because your names are written in heaven." And we know they were sanctified when Jesus prayed for them, For Jesus' prayers did not have to be answered in the future but were answered right there. He said, "They are not of the world, Even as I am not of the world." They were not only sanctified but had received the Holy Spirit in a certain measure, because he breathed on them in the upper room and said, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost." Some have put it off that they were not sanctified until Pentecost.  But we know the spirit only follows the blood.  The heart must be clean before the Holy Ghost can endure with power from on high.  It is not the work of the Holy Ghost to burn up inheritance sin and carnality he is not our Savior.  It is the blood that cleanses us from all sin.  The disciples were cleansed and sanctified and they were sitting and waiting when the Holy Ghost fell upon them.

We know also that Cornelius was clean, For when the Lord let down the sheep before Peter, he said, "what God have cleansed, that call not now common," or unclean.  The Holy Ghost spill on them as at the beginning and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
