Can The Blood of Jesus Do It?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is a testimony from Tim O'Better.

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.

It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.

The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement wast his: "My fiance's past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin."

"Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?" The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble. What can wash away my sins?...

Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Why Did Jesus Turn Water Into Wine?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Here is something that I found that I wanted to share.

Google commons

1. The First of the 10 plagues was water turned into blood.  The first of Jesus's miracles was water turned into wine
2. Wine symbolizes the blood of Jesus Christ shed for our atonement.
3. The obedience of the servants represents the obedience that Christ demands of His followers.
4. The filling the waterpots to the brim represents how every believer is to be filled with the Spirit so that the wine of His Blood can be proclaimed to the world through us.
5. Saving the best for last represents how the New Covenant is better than the Old Covenant
6. Christ and his disciples being invited to the wedding foreshadows the marriage supper of the Lamb
7. The master of the wedding feast acknowledging that Christ's wine was the best wine foreshadowed how the Heavenly Father would accept Christ's atoning sacrifice.

Who was Job?

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

Google commons

JOB was no King.
JOB, was not a Pastor.
JOB was not a Prophet
JOB, was not an evangelist.
JOB, was not an Apostle.
JOB, was not a Priest.
JOB, was not a Doctor
JOB, had no Ministry.
Even then Job turned away from evil.

So who was Job?
Job was a man of integrity, upright and God fearing.

You don't need to hold positions in the church, to start living in holiness and having good character.

- BEING A CHRISTIAN is not having a position or position in the Church.
- TO BE A CHRISTIAN IS TO SEEK TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD BY BEING OBEDIENT AND FEARING HIM.

Truths About Prophets

Hello everyone.  Praise the Lord!

This is something that I found that I wanted to share with you.

As I study about prophets in the scriptures, especially the Old Testament, I see seven reoccurring truths:

(1)   God deals harshly with the person that says, “Thus saith the Lord” and the Lord has not spoken.

(2)   God deals harshly with the person or congregation that does not heed to the word of the Lord that comes through the prophet.

(3)   When a prophet’s work is done, sin is rebuked, souls are strengthened, and people are drawn into a closer walk with God.

(4)   True prophets of God innately understand that a consecrated prayerful life and an anointed life are interwoven.

(5)   Multiple times, God wanted the people to know that a prophet had been among them.

(6)   Prophets are unique but not all are odd.

(7)   The way of a prophet is hard.
